Hanson Goes Back To Work

Remember the saga that started in training camp and clouded the first five weeks of the season?

Yes. Randy Hanson has been spotted in the Raiders scouting department.

Only the Raiders, right?

One thing I'd like to point out, the story was way overblown especially by Yahoo! Sports writers.

Was there some disagreement about what happened? Sure, but that often happens during a heated exchange.

In the end Cable got what he wanted. Hanson scouting and not coaching. Hanson also got what he wanted, a job with his beloved Raiders.

Both of them received things they didn't want (broken jaw, media fire).

I guess inside the building at Raiders headquarters on Harbor Bay Parkway, a broken jaw and media scrutiny are about equal.

Khalif Barnes - Weakest link on the offensive line with youth behind him. Raiders will look for for other options. It's not as if there aren't a dozen Khalif's on the street each year. Darryl Blackstock - Was a Chuck Bresnahan guy, but found a home on special teams. Would have to make the team as a reserve LB and special teams guy next training camp. Wouldn't be surprised to see him back as a camp body or gone entirely. Kyle Boller - Hue didn't have enough confidence to turn to Boller. Quarterback Derek Carr and the offense looked significantly improved from a year ago, thanks in large part to some of the studs listed below.
